Alcorn County Fatal Crash

CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI)– A Monday morning crash on Forrest School Road in Alcorn County has left one person dead and two seriously injured.

Authorities say, pending notification of the family, the identification of the victims will probably not occur until Tuesday afternoon. The Daily Journal has reported the fatal victim as Tiffany Lancaster Roberts of Guys, Tenn.

The collision took place near the intersection of C.R. 730, when a woman and a young child were traveling west bound on Forrest School Road/ C.R. 704 in a 2004 Ford Explorer crashed with a male traveling eastbound in a 1998 Chevrolet Ford .

The child in the Explorer was airlifted to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. The male driver of the pickup was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

The accident remains under investigation.
