Corinth Man Convicted of Strangling His Ex-wife
CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) – James Johnson, 54, of Corinth, has become the first person convicted in the First Judicial Circuit of a domestic violence felony.
He was convicted Wednesday in the Alcorn County Circuit Court of domestic violence by strangulation.
Johnson’s ex-wife called the police reporting a domestic assault on Dec. 3, 2012. Once police arrived at the home, they found the ex-wife dead with injuries consistent to strangulation. Johnson was arrested and charged later that day.
His sentence hearing will be Friday.
