Lee County Church Raises Money for Worthy Causes

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lee County church wants to help the community and beyond. Members of Brewer United Methodist Church went held its annual bake sale, bazaar and rummage sale today. The church had been holding the sale to pay off its building loan. Now that the church is debt free, the money will go to various worthy causes including the sponsoring a needy child at Christmas, assisting the homeless, and paying for the digging of a much -needed water well in Nicaragua. The church will sponsor a fish fry at the Brewer Community Center on October 17th to raise and additional five thousand dollars needed for the project.
