LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Lowndes County man already out on bond on crystal meth charges is one of three people arrested in a new drug case.

The Lowndes Sheriff’s narcotics unit says Kristy Handley,, 27, of Steens, Jessica Vance, 29, of Columbus, and John Ross Chism, 31, of Columbus, all are charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Handley was charged after she was stopped on Highway 82. Narcotics Director Bobby Grimes says she was in possession of meth, pills, and Demorol. Her arrest led agents to pick up Chism and Vance about 45 minutes later for possession of meth and demorol.

Chism was arrested by the narcotics in January on meth charges.
