LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The 35th Annual Red Hills Festival is in full swing this weekend, drawing in many to Winston County.

The streets of downtown Louisville are filled this weekend.

Held every year during Memorial Day weekend, The Red Hills Festival tradition is something residents look forward to.

“Red Hills is a great time to come out and see people and if you lived in Winston County and moved away you can come and visit old friends,” said resident Kenley McMullan

“I just think the festival is one of the best times in Louisville. It brings all the community together, it’s a beautiful day for it,” said Linda Skelton with the Winston County Chamber of Commerce.

Red Hills has grown so much in the past few years, it now stretches across three downtown blocks.

Many local artists showcase their unique work at the fest.

From shopping, to games, it’s a guaranteed family fun event.

“It’s nice to get out and enjoy the community and togetherness because of all the bad things going on in the world, it’s good that we can come together and show love, good family, good eating and good food,” said resident Guinn Moore.

It’s that good food that attracts many of these festival goers.

“Funnel cakes and lemon-aid, they’re a great combination,” added McMullan.

Also, as part of the festival weekend, a car show and an antique show was held.
