School Leaders Honored for Improved Test Scores

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – School leaders in Lowndes County are being honored for their students’ test scores.

On Friday morning, the Lowndes County school district recognized its principals at its board meeting.

The district says all schools based on the Mississippi state department accountability rating system, have made progress on the quality of distribution index from last year.

Officials say the biggest increase came from West Lowndes High, which increased its score 31 points, to 152.

District leaders say they have no failing schools.
