AUTHOR MERLE TEMPLE GAVE A FIRST HAND ACCOUNT OF A PUBLISHED AUTHOR TO ENGLISH STUDENTS AT WINSTON ACADEMY IN LOUISVILLE TODAY.

TEMPLE IS A FORMER CAPTAIN IN THE MISSISSIPPI BUREAU OF NARCOTICS AND RECENTLY PUBLISHED AUTHOR OF  “A GHOSTLY SHADE OF PALE”.
THE BOOK WAS INSPIRED BY HIS EXPERIENCES AS A NARCOTICS AGENT IN THE 1970’S.

HE IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON A SEQUEL.

BUT TEMPLE TOOK TIME TO SPEAK WITH STUDENTS ABOUT HIS TIME ON THE FORCE AND HIS PROCESS FOR WRITING A BOOK.

The first drug wars had been declared by President Nixon and I went directly into the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. It was brand new, I was naïve and did not know what I was getting into.”>
