Toxicology Report Is Negative for Suspect in Wildlife Officers Death

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) – Charles “Cody” Weaver’s toxicology report came back negative for any drugs or alcohol the night he hit and killed Sgt. John Collum.

Weaver, 19, was arrested for negligent homicide after the incident occurred on May 9.

Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department will present the evidence to the grand jury next week to determine if Weaver will face other charges.

Weaver is out of jail on bond.

Collum was a veteran with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
