Video: Furniture Store Raises Money for Tornado Victims

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A Tupelo Furniture Store used a special promotion in order to give something back to the community in the wake of the April 28th tornado.

The Ashley Furniture Home Store, and the adjacent Stash Home, conducted Hands on Tupelo to raise money for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in Tupelo.

They offered some great discounts and even gave away a Temper-pedic Mattress.

Organizers say they hoped to raise several thousand dollars for the Red Cross.

The Tupelo Lee Humane Society was also on hand, taking donations to help the hundreds of animals that were lost or had to be turned in from the tornado.
