Video: MSU’s Energy Efficiency Efforts Set An Example

STARKVILLE, Miss. ( WCBI) – Green is the “new maroon” at Mississippi State.
Many college’s are ‘going-green’ and MSU is one of them.

The new dorms and other recently renovated buildings are more energy-efficient than before, saving thousands of dollars for the University.

MSU is one of the top leaders in energy efficiency innovation and research.

Dr. Mark Keenum says the university hopes to set an example for others.

“We have a lot of new buildings being constructed on campus now are built with the mindset of being as energy-efficient as possible. And we want to set an example for others to learn from these innovative techniques and construction on our campus. So we think it’s important that we do that.,” said Dr. Kennum, MSU’s President.
MSU created its own energy institute to conduct research and encourage engineers to collaborate on projects.
