VIDEO: Riverwalk Clean Up Delayed

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Waters are receding at the Columbus Riverwalk, but clean up will wait until next week.

Public Works Director Casey Bush, says workers will begin cleaning up the area on Monday.

The extended time will allow a full staff to tackle the clean up once the waters go down.

Right now, trash and dirt can be seen along the walking paths.

Crews worked today to see if equipment could be used on the bank of the river where the Christmas Tree bonfire is planned for Monday.
