TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Chris McDaniel is visiting North Mississippi just a few days before Tuesday’s runoff election.

Two big buses pulled up in front of Tupelo City Hall Saturday afternoon, the first from the Tea Party Express. Then McDaniel’s own campaign bus came in.

In his speech, McDaniel told supporters he doesn’t approve of the job President Obama is doing.

He told WCBI he’s confident about Tuesday’s runoff.

“We feel good about next Tuesday,” McDaniel said. “Our people are excited. Mississippi knows we need a conservative champion in Washington D.C., and that’s exactly what we’re going to be. We’re going to fight for our values, fight for our constitution, and fight for balanced budgets, and fight for term limits, so we’re looking forward to getting up there.”

McDaniel also told the crowd he will work to repeal Obamacare if he’s elected.

Tuesday’s winner takes on Democrat Travis Childers in November.
