STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A group of Starkville leaders came together today for an update on the city and it’s progress.

City, county and university leaders gathered for the Quarterly Community Roundtable Meeting.

It’s a time for Starkville’s administrative leaders to update each other on the successes, areas of progress and what is to come this year.

Some of the topics discussed were the Russell Street redesign project,  a new appropriation bill that funds the redesign of Highway 12 and The Mill ribbon cutting.

Starkville Mayor Parker Wiseman says these meetings have proved to be successful in the past.

“We have to be seeking opportunities together and we’ve seen huge benefits of having this conversation very intentionally and very regularly,” said Mayor Wiseman.

Each group’s leader shared an update for the community.
