Union County Teen Charged With Sexual Battery

UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Union County teen is facing two counts of sexual battery.

Bond was set at $20,000 on Wednesday for James Higginbotham, 18.

Deputies arrested him Wednesday night after a report was filed with the Department of Human Services.

Sheriff Jimmy Edwards says the victim is 14 years-old.

Higginbotham had been staying with the victim’s family.

The investigation is continuing.
