UPDATE – Hatley Pilot Killed In Monroe County Crash

MONROE COUNTY (WCBI) – Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley says a long time pilot from Hatley is one of the victim’s in Tuesday’s morning plane crash in Monroe County.  73 year old Richard Justice died at the scene of the crash about a mile from the Monroe County airport.   Justice and his passenger took off just after 6:15 this morning heading for Madison.

The single engine Mooney M20 plane involved in the crash was registered to Justice.  Gurley says the name of the passenger in the plane is not being released by his office at this time at the request of the family.

Justice was a long time commercial pilot and in 2013 was added to the prestigious FAA Airmens Certification database.
