LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) — They have been powering growth in the Golden Triangle for 75 years. On Tuesday, Employees, retirees, and members of 4-County Electric Power Association took time out to mark the milestone by raising a commemorative flag at the company’s headquarters.
4-County began providing power to just over a 1,000 rural customers in Clay, Lowndes, Oktibbeha, and Noxubee counties in July of 1939. Today, the power association services nearly 50,000 residential and commercial customers across a nine county area.
