UNDATED, Miss. (WCBI)-Human cases of West Nile are now up to 6 in Mississippi the newest case reported in Wayne County. Forest, Montgomery, Lowndes, Madison, and Wayne have all reported positive incidents. Including one death in Montgomery County. Health officials want to remind residents to take proper precautions to avoid mosquito exposure. Wear long sleeves and pants during peak hours and insect repellent if outdoors. Symptoms of West Nile are similar to the flu and include fever, aching muscles, and vomiting.
