ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — The owner of an Aberdeen chemical plant is investing almost $14 million in an expansion that will create six new jobs.

Finland-based Kemira is expanding the dry polymer operation it bought last year from 3-F Chemicals on Darracott Road.

The investment could lead to more expansion in the future as Kemira considers additional product lines.

The company is one of the world’s largest specialty chemical companies, and employs almost five thousand people globally.
