COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-Family and friends are celebrating with loved ones Friday night at the Lowndes County Relay for Life.

The even kicked off at 6PM with survivors making their first lap around the Columbus High School track.

There is also live entertainment, great food and games for the whole family to enjoy.

Several relay teams will stay until 1AM to walk around the track and help raise funds for cancer research.

A Luminar ceremony was held after dark to remember those who are no longer with us.
