Video: A College Christmas Carol

MAYHEW, Miss. (WCBI) – The threat of bad weather didn’t put a damper on a Christmas Celebration in Mayhew.

Students at East Mississippi Community College’s Golden Triangle campus gathered Monday for a tree-lighting ceremony.

They made ornaments, sang a few Christmas Carols, and even indulged in a little hot chocolate.

Fortunately, the students got an early start. Bad weather cancelled the Starkville Christmas Parade and postponed Columbus’ tree-lighting ceremony.  The Columbus event has been rescheduled for Tuesday night from 5:30 – 7:00.
