VIDEO: Columbus Fairgrounds Easter Egg Hunt

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-  Building trust and unity was the message, as residents from all over the Golden Triangle gathered to hunt Easter eggs on Saturday.

The second annual hunt was hosted, by Ward 4 City Councilmen Candidate Pierre Beard. The event included performances by Lowndes County Dance Company, Royal Insanity, and Passion Elite. There was also food, bounce houses, and games for the kids.

The Columbus Fire Department made an appearance along with area day cares and local restaurants.

Beard says he hopes the event impacts the community in a positive way.

“My whole purpose is trust and unity. It’s basically building trust with the community with the city with everybody so everybody can be on one accord,”said Beard.

Beard is hoping the Easter Egg Hunt will continue to grow throughout the years.
