BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. (WCBI/BMC Athletics) – Blue Mountain College Baseball head coach Curt Fowler announced Friday the signing of Columbus, Miss. infielder Chris McCullough.

The 5’11” former East Mississippi Community College bomber hit .315, bashed six home runs, drove in 31 and scored 29 times in 41 games in 2015 for the Lions.

McCullough joins several new signees added to the 2017 BMC baseball program.

“Chris brings a big bat to our lineup that should produce right away. He’s a great power hitter from the left side who can hit gap to gap. He also plays a solid first base and is an outstanding worker,” Fowler said Friday.

McCullough’s former high school coach at Columbus, Jeffrey Cook, said, “He’s always had an energy and passion to play. He’s a great team player and I think he’ll do some great things at Blue Mountain College.”

“Playing at Blue Mountain College will give me the opportunity to be the best I can be,” McCullough stated at Friday’s press conference.
