LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — North Mississippians are remembering those who lost their lives in the April 28th tornadoes.

“True community is one that comes together in the midst of sorrow.” With those words, Louisville Mayor Will Hill began a community memorial service, Sunday.

Area residents, volunteers, local pastors and area lawmakers honored the 10 people who were killed by the storm.

United States representative Greg Harper told the group to always remember what they have right now – the feeling of community.

The names of each victim was read, followed by the toll of a bell.
