VIDEO: Crimson Tide Searching For Identity

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WCBI) — The reigning national champion Alabama Crimson Tide begin their season with a non-conference showdown in Dallas, Texas against the Southern California Trojans.

As the Tide prepares for USC, head coach Nick Saban has narrowed the quarterback competition down to two, Cooper Bateman and Blake Barnett.

While Saban’s team brings back a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, the head coach said with this year’s team, “….there’s no identity at all, regardless of what’s been said, voted on, or anything else, it means nothing in terms of what we need to try to create as an identity that we need to create as a football team.”

Saban said the depth at wide receiver will be one of the strongest aspects fans can expect out of the 2016 team.
