Video: Daycare Van Involved in Afternoon Wreck

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Three children are taken to the hospital after a SUV slams into a daycare van.

The crash happened about 3:30 P.M. Friday on Lehmberg Road, near Bennett Avenue.

An Angela’s Care and Learning Center van stopped in the southbound lane for traffic and was hit from behind.

In all, seven kids and two adults were in the vehicle.

The children were being taken to the daycare after being picked up at school.

Columbus police report only minor injuries.

One person in the SUV was also injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
