Hancock also filled in a quarterback, throwing for seven touchdowns, while also intercepting one pass.

But the sports where Hancock shines is on the baseball diamond, where his career batting average is .329, totaling 35 RBI’s and 83 runs scored.

Hancock was also a member of the 2015 2A state championship team.

Hancock also received an offer to play baseball for Delta State, but chose the JUCO route to pursue bigger goals.

“I chose Junior College because I eventually want to play in the SEC”, Hancock said.

“Hopefully it’s going to open up new options for me, and hopefully I can play in the SEC after Hinds.”

“[He’s a] very athletic young man, great speed”, East Webster head baseball coach Wes Johnson said.

“Started the past five years for us at shortstop and been a part of state championship teams and knows what is to win. Just a great teammate and a great competitor.”
