MAYHEW, Miss. (WCBI) — They did the studying, and tonight, they received their hard earned rewards. 22 people walked across the Lyceum stage at East Mississippi Community College to received their GED’s this evening. EMCC President Dr. Rick Young and several graduates served as tonight’s keynote speakers.

The Launch Pad GED program was inspired by NASA and created to provide adult students with the necessary tools to achieve their educational goals. The program’s classes are also structured to focus on the skill set of each student.
