TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Tupelo Health Works held an exclusive Asthma Super Saturday for children with asthma, and their parents, to enjoy the fun activies at the facility.

Asthma is not curable but is controlable.

Kathy Haynes is a respiratory therapist. She says you would be surprised at how many children are inflicted with Asthma.

“10 percent, that’s alot of children,” Haynes said. “A lot of children are undiagnosed. A lot of times the only symptoms of asthma is coughing, and a lot of people don’t realize that they’re actually suffering from asthma.”

Haynes says they are gearing up for this summer’s Camp Breathe Ezzzze, which will be held at Tishomingo State Park June 3-6. It is specially designed so children with asthma can enjoy summer camp like other children.
