Video: FCA-Sportsworld Hold ‘Unity Rally’ For Local Athletes

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – It was a message of unity regardless of race or background during a Fellowship of Christian Athletes rally this Monday evening.

Football teams from Northeast Mississippi attended the “FCA Unity Rally” at Tupelo’s Ballard Park.

Featured speaker was Michael Cobb, who was a tight end with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Chicago Bears from 1977 through 1981.

Cobb encouraged Christian athletes to live out their faith.

“The one thing about being a Christian is, you can leave an imprint on somebody and not even realize it, you know, because the Holy Spirit moves, you don’t even realize it, don’t understand the dynamics of it.  And the other thing about it as Christians, we have to leave a legacy, so kids can look at us and people look at us and know what we stood for and know that that made the difference in our lives,” Cobb said.

FCA partnered with Indianapolis based ministry “Sports World” for the rally.
