OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Investigators are looking into what caused an early morning fire that destroyed an Oktibbeha County home.

Firefighters responded shortly after three Saturday morning to a home on West Point Road.

They say putting out the flames was especially tough, while dealing with 20 degree temperatures and ice.

Fire officials say they weren’t able to save much, but fortunately those inside the home were able to get out safely.

The fire started in the garage and also destroyed four cars.

The home is a total loss.
