Video: Freeze Talks Ole Miss Response To NCAA Investigation

MEMPHIS, TN (WCBI) — One day after Ole Miss released its statement on the latest NCAA allegations, head coach Hugh Freeze gave his thoughts on Tuesday’s response.

While at the FedEx Saint Jude’s Classic Pro-Am in Memphis, Wednesday, Freeze spoke with the media about the University’s answer to the NCAA.

“The support has been phenomenal, and I couldn’t ask for any more from our people,” Freeze said.

“They’ve witnessed me closely run a program, and obviously they have confidence that we’re doing it the right way and we’re excited to get to the next phase of it.”

When asked if he was “nervous” about the next phase in the investigation, Freeze said, “I’m just ready to get to the next phase. There’s no nerves, just ready to get it over with.”

In Tuesday’s response, Ole miss gave its full support for Freeze, and will contest the serious allegations of lack of institutional control and a head coach responsibility violation.
