NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — It’s been one week since an elderly Noxubee County man disappeared. Now, investigators are trying to determine if foul play is involved.

Sheriff Terry Grassaree says he’s contacted the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to assist in the hunt for 72-year-old James McLeod.

Deputies are exploring reasons why McLeod didn’t return to his Allen Bend Road home last Tuesday after walking to Macon.

Searchers of combed nearby woods, but have found no trace of him.

If you have any information that could help investigators in the search, call the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department.
