COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — There’s not a much better way to kick off summer than with a little bit of water and fun.

That’s exactly what the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library did in its “Water Science Day” Saturday afternoon.

They invited the fire department to bring games and a fire hose for the kids.

Playing in the water was perfect for the kids on such a hot day.

Saturday’s event kicked off the summer library programs.

Contact the library for a schedule of activities.
