Video: Library Reaching out to Lawmakers for Funding

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Columbus-Lowndes Library hopes a flood of mail will change the minds of lawmakers.

The library is asking people to come by and fill out a post card and say how you feel about your library.

Library Love Letters is the name of the effort.

Organizers say this is a way for people to tell lawmakers about the importance and value the library brings to a community.

The legislature is currently trying to finalize the state budget, which includes funding for libraries.
