VIDEO: Local Barbershop Takes Donations For Flood Victims

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Due to the historic flooding in Louisiana, some Golden Triangle residents have decided to offer a helping hand.

Currie Haynes, the owner of Currie’s Barbershop, is accepting donations for the victims.

He and the Salvation Army are loading up a truck full of supplies to send to the Baton Rouge area.

So far they have collected a good amount of clothes, but Haynes says they are still in need.

“We need disposable plates, towels, utensils, toilet paper. We also need food, and we also need cleaning supplies because they are going back to their homes and they are having to clean,’ says Haynes.

The truck full of supplies will leave for Louisiana this Friday night, and the items will be distributed Saturday morning.
