VIDEO: Lowndes Co. Road Reopens After Gas Leak

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Yorkville Road East is back open after a contractor hits a gas line this afternoon.

Lowndes County deputies blocked off Yorkville Road East, near William Roberts Road, until the repair was made.

Atmos Energy and Lowndes County Volunteer Firefighters responded to the call.

The leak occurred at a townhouse construction site on Yorkville.

EMA Director Cindy Lawrence says workers were evacuated from the scene.
