Video: Mississippi Baptists Hold ‘Tell Me’ Rally

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – The state’s largest evangelical denomination is encouraging its members to be intentional about sharing their faith.

Doctor Jim Futral is executive director of the Mississippi Baptist Convention.  He spoke at a “Tell Me” rally held at Tupelo’s Ballard Park.

Similar rallies have been held across the state, and Doctor Futral says Mississippi baptists are excited about sharing their faith.

” And over and over again we have had people who have signed up, lined up and said, ‘I want to do that.’  It has made a connection with them, and they make a connection with the people in their circle of life and there they share the message of Christ with people and really, we have seen people saved at these meetings and outside these meetings people come to know the Lord because of what these folks do,” Dr. Futral said.

Doctor Futral will hold similar rallies in prisons across the state through the spring and summer.
