TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) –The president of Mississippi State University took time today to encourage high school students in our area to plan for their future – and live a life marked by integrity and honesty.

Dr. Mark Keenum was at Tupelo High School Thursday as part of career day.

Keenum reminded students of the rapidly changing world, along with advances in technology, which will create many career opportunities in the future.

He said it’s important for young people to realize that what they do as young adults has an impact on the rest of their lives.

“A young person today needs as much as education as they possibly can receive and that’s a big part of my message and also how to live their life , have good values and to be a good leader in this world.”

And of course, Doctor Keenum encouraged THS students to make MSU a part of their post graduation plans.
