MYRTLE, Miss. (WCBI) — The Myrtle Police Department is looking to invest in a drone. The small town will use $3,000.00 in Federal funds to pay for the gadget. The drone will be the size of a large model airplane, and can be operated by a computer. The department hoes to use it to locate missing children and the elderly. The money was originally earmarked for the purchase of body cameras for police officers, but another grant covered those expenses.
