OKTIBBEHA CO., Miss. – (WCBI) The family of Cason Park tells WCBI that there has been a major break in the case of a hit and run that ended with their loved one’s death.

MHP Spokesperson Sgt. Criss Turnipseed confirms that a person of interest is being interviewed in this this case, but adds a number of people have been questioned since the fatal incident. He says that no charges have been officially filed at the time of this posting.

The 25-year old former Marine was killed while walking down Highway 82 in Oktibbeha County early Sunday morning.

Park, a Gordo, Alabama native, will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 17th at Mt. Pleasant Church at 2 p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m.
