COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The gloomy weather Sunday afternoon didn’t keep North Mississippi residents from celebrating fall.

A large crowd turned out for Fairview Baptist Church’s second annual Fall Block Party.

Forget the drizzle-those who turned out still had fun.

There were tons of bouncers and games, and fall-themed activities.

Church members say they enjoy reaching out to people in the community, and look forward to this event each year.

Organizers say 1,200 people attended last year’s event, and despite Sunday’s weather, they say they appeared to have another good turnout.
