STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — They’ve been “workin’ so hard”, and now they’re ready to “cut loose”. Students from Starkville Academy are putting the finishing touches on their production of “Footloose”. The cast is running through dress rehearsals today and tomorrow. The musical is based on the hit 1984 film that starred Kevin Bacon as a teenager who rallies his friends who have been “holding out for a hero” to fight a small town’s ban on dancing.

There will be a performance for students on Thursday, and shows for the public this Friday at 9 AM and 7PM at the Greensboro Center in Starkville.
