TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-After close to three years of pounding the pavement one Tishomingo County resident may be ready to get an alcohol referendum on the ballot. Charles “Tubby” Aldridge has been collecting signatures since March of 2010 trying to get a wet/dry vote in the county. After spending close to $47,000 dollars of his own money he finally has enough signatures to go before county supervisors. Aldridge needs 2,500 signatures to call for a vote and currently has just over 2,600. He will be set up in front of the Iuka court house and Wal-mart to gain more signatures just to pad his numbers. He hopes to file his petition before county supervisors March 1st.
