Video: Tom In Baton Rouge: Bulldogs Lose Heartbreaker Late Against LSU

BATON ROUGE, LA (WCBI) — Heading into the middle of the eighth inning, it appeared as though the Mississippi State Bulldogs would sneak out of Alex Box Stadium leading 1-0 in the Super Regional series.

The national four seed LSU Tigers put up four runs in the bottom half of the inning, and hung on to the complete the late rally, winning 4-3.

LSU leads the series 1-0.

The Bulldogs will look to even up the series Sunday against LSU at 8 P.M. CT, and either Jacob Billingsley or Denver McQuary will take the mound for MSU in game two.
