TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo parents  got a chance to learn some ways to deal with their children’s behavior problems. The school district hosted the workshop “Using Positive Behavior Interventions and Strategies at Home for Behavior Modification.” The workshop facilitator says it is important for parents to have a plan.

Social worker, Linda Kwasinski said, “One of things is to have a safe and predictable environment teaching parents to set up behavior plans typically like if they’re struggling with like homework problems and those kinds of things.”

Participants discussed teaching children proper behavior in public, and strategies for dealing with children with conditions like dyslexia or attention deficit disorder.
