TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – An urgent call is being put out for volunteers to help at a career expo for eighth grade students next week.

The second annual “Imagine the Possibilities” career expo takes place at the Bancorpsouth Arena in Tupelo next Tuesday through Thursday.

More than 7 thousand eighth grade students from 17 Northeast Mississippi counties will spend two hours experiencing four to eight carer pathways.

Community volunteers are needed for the expo, especially for next Thursday.

“Volunteers will be asked to do simple tasks, such as registering other volunteers and other participants in the pathways, there’s also opportunities for folks to just sit and watch certain areas, getting where they need to be, also opportunities to distribute bags and brochures, as well as welcome students as well as help park buses,” said Albine Bennett, director of communications for the CREATE Foundation.

About 100 additional volunteers are needed, especially for next Thursday. Deadline to sign up is Friday.  If you want more information, go to www.createfoundation.com  or call Albine Bennett at 662 844 8989.
