West Alabama Drug Bust Lands Four Behind Bars, Thousands In Cash Seized

LAMAR CO., Ala. (WCBI) – A west Alabama drug bust lands four people in jail and agents seize thousands of dollars in cash.

33 year-old Todd Parks is charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

His wife, 34 year-old Kelly Parks, is charged with possession of marijuana second.

Meanwhile, 42 year-old David Lee Newman and 28 year-old Edward Adair are both facing a drug paraphernalia charge.

Lamar County Sheriff Hal Allred tells WCBI says law enforcement seized nearly 50 grams of ICE and half a pound of marijuana.

He says agents are in the process of seizing other items believed to have been bought with drug money, including vehicles.

Deputies also found $44,000 dollars in the Parks’ Lampkin Road home, near Sulligent.

The Lamar and Fayette County Sheriff’s Departments, Vernon police, and the 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force served the search warrant at the Parks’ home.
