WEST POINT, Miss. – (WCBI) A West Point graduate, who’s dedicated his career to education, returned to his Alma Mater Friday.

Marcus D. Ward was the keynote speaker at this year’s Academic Achievement Awards for West Point High School students.

Ward is current the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.He is also the executive director of the Alcorn State University Foundation.

Ward spoke an the importance of education, and how it is essential in achieving future goals.

The Academic Achievement Award Ceremony, that was held at the Civic, was attended by high school students who’ve maintained a 90 average for the both the spring and fall semesters.
