COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-Forty-three teams put their grilling skills to the test to see who has the best BBQ.

The Columbus Fair Grounds are hosting the 31st Annual Roast and Boast where competitors from states like Florida, Arkansas and Mississippi come to compete for bragging rights and up to $13,000 in prize money.

A competitor from the TLC reality show, “Pit Master” calls this competition fun and unique.

“This one is unique by just the situation with the set that I have normally I’m out working under that 10X20 and 10×10. So it was kind of a surprise when I pulled up and they told me he had a full building for me,” says Billy Rhodes.

The event will wrap up Saturday night.
