COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – An electrical grid is only as good as its poles.

4-County is sending contract workers to inspect and treat everyone of its poles in Lowndes and Noxubee Counties.

The work will require a little digging.

That means you could find a stranger in your yard.

His clothes will be clearly marked with the company name Osmose,  and his truck will have a 4-County contractor sign on it.

This latest round of inspections is part of a 10 year cycle.

It began this week and should last about 3 months.
